Nicole Mersky

Chief Operating Officer

Nicole Mersky is the Chief Operating Officer of The Brady Hunter Foundation (“BHF”), a nonprofit organization committed to championing the causes of animal welfare, wildlife protection, environmental conservation, children’s empowerment, and homeless aid and food security on a local, national, and global level.  Through her role at BHF, Nicole will continue to pursue her lifelong commitment to these five pillars of care.

For the past 25 years, Nicole has represented financial institutions in structuring and negotiating innovative and complex financial transactions, most recently as a Partner in the Capital Markets practice group of Dentons, the world’s largest law firm. Before her role at Dentons, Nicole established a consulting firm where, using her deep expertise in structured finance – together with her desire to help create a more inclusive and equitable world – she advised impact investors seeking to provide liquidity and greater access to capital to women-owned and minority-owned businesses in underserved communities.

Nicole was also an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley, where she was tasked with co-leading the Bank’s newly formed Structured Products Group. Before Morgan Stanley, Nicole spent 12 years as Associate General Counsel and the sole transaction counsel to Ellington Management Group, a $16+ billion hedge fund that was a pioneer in structured credit products and derivatives. Prior to her role at Ellington, Nicole spent almost 8 years as an associate at Thatcher Proffitt & Wood, LLP, a law firm that was the preeminent leader in the structured finance space.

With Nicole’s unwavering commitment to financial inclusion, and her love for animals and wildlife, she hopes to make the world a more equitable place for people and animals alike.
